The best way to show how the Knowledge programme works is through moving images and text. A video presentation was created using graphics and branding already created for the marketing campaign.
The video was uploaded onto iPads and these were delivered directly to key decision makers at The Guardian. However, the iPads were locked and the users required a code to be able to unlock then and view the video.

PCS has been at the forefront of product innovation within the publishing industry for 45 years and the Company intends to stay there. More than 40 years ago they developed one of the UK’s first fully-computerised publishing systems – Press 11 – a forerunner of the digital systems nowadays used by publishers worldwide.
PCS had developed a revolutionary piece of software – Knowledge – for the publishing industry, but they were finding it extremely difficult to gain access to prospective purchasers. They required a creative agency in the West Midlands, with a proven track record, to work with then and help them get 'a foot in the door'.
It was felt that Knowledge required a logo and overall brand image before is was marketed. Once the logo and overall key messaging had been agreed a creative marketing plan could be developed. To make sure PCS made an impact we sent iPads to key decision makers at The Guardian and had merchandisers hand out USB sticks and cereal bars to members of The Guardian staff as they arrived at work one cold, wet, Wednesday morning. PCS certainly managed to get its foot in the door following that.
